Configure alert receiving

NineData operation and maintenance monitoring supports sending alerts through receiving groups or webhooks. This article describes how to create an alert receiving group or webhooks.

Create an alert receiving group

  1. Log in to NineData console.

  2. In the left navigation pane, click Alert > Receiver.

  3. On the Receiver Group tab, click Create Group in the upper right corner.

  4. On the Create Group page, configure according to the following table.

    Description
    NameEnter the name of the alert receiving group. To facilitate subsequent search and management, try to use a meaningful name. Up to 24 characters are supported.
    Add UsersClick the input box under Add Users, and a list of users in the current organization will pop up. Click on the user name to add. User can also enter some keywords of the user name in the input box to perform a fuzzy search to quickly locate the target user.
  5. Click Create Group.

    tip

    NineData provides a default receiver group. You can also directly click Edit in the Actions column on the right side of the receiver group to add receivers or Webhooks to the group. For the editing method, see the table above.

Create a Webhook

  1. Log in to NineData console.

  2. In the left navigation pane, click Alert > Receiver.

  3. Click Webhook tab and click Create Webhook in the upper right corner of the page.

  4. On the Create Webhook page, configure according to the following table.

    Desciption
    NameEnter the name of the webhook. To facilitate subsequent search and management, try to use a meaningful name. Up to 24 characters are supported.
    Feishu/DingTalk/WeCom WebhookEnter the webhook address of the group robot. If signature verification is enabled for the webhook address, the signature key should be entered in the Signature key box (leave it blank if signature verification is not enabled). About how to obtain the webhook address, please refer to the following official documents: Note: To add multiple Webhooks at the same time, click the Add button.
    Signature keyThe signature key corresponding to the webhook address. If the signature key is not enabled for the webhook address, leave it blank.
  5. Click Create Webhook.

    tip

    After clicking Create Webhook, the system will automatically verify the validity of the Webhook address and signature key (if any). If invalid, an error message will be displayed. You need to modify the configuration according to the error message and try again.

Configuring Email Service

NineData supports customizing email services. If NineData's email address is blocked, preventing the receipt of alerts or subscription information, you can configure your own email service. Once configured, all system emails will be sent from the email service you have configured.

  1. Log in to the NineData Console.

  2. In the left navigation bar, click > .

  3. Click on the tab, and then click on the page.

  4. On the page, configure according to the table below.

    Parameter
    Description
    The address of the mail server specifying from where the email is sent. You can find the in the documentation of your email service provider. For example, the for QQ Mail is smtp.qq.com.
    The network port on which the mail server listens. You can find the in the documentation of your email service provider. For example, the for QQ Mail is 465.
    Configure the email address for sending alerts or subscription information. For example: example@qq.com.
    Enter the authorization code for the SMTP service, which will be provided when enabling email services on the official website of major email service providers. Depending on the provider, the term 'authorization code' may vary, so please adjust accordingly based on the actual circumstances.
  5. Click .

    tip

    After configuring the email service, all system emails will be sent from the email address you configured. If you need to revert to the default email service or switch to another email server, click on this page ( page) to delete the current email service.
