Tag Management

NineData Tag Center provides centralized management of tag definitions and tag categories used by Data Assets. Tags are grouped by category, and categories are managed as a flat list without a parent-child directory hierarchy. The tag center shows the number of associated resources, the modifier, and the modification time for each tag.

Open the tag center​

In the console left navigation, select Datasource > Tag Center to open the Tag Center page.

Manage tags​

  1. Enter a tag name in the search field and use Search tag name to search for the tag. You can also filter tags by Tag Category.
  2. View the tag name, category, associated resources, modifier, and modification time in the list.
  3. To create a tag, select Create Tag, select a tag category, enter Tag Name, and submit.
  4. To edit a tag, select Edit Tag in the target tag's actions, modify the category or name, and submit.
  5. To remove a tag, use the action available in the target tag's row and follow the on-screen instructions. Before proceeding, check the associated-resource count, back up or record the tag and its associations according to your approval process, and confirm a recovery plan. Do not proceed if the impact or recovery method is unclear. Afterward, verify the affected resources' tag state.

Manage tag categories​

  1. Select Manage Categories to open category management.
  2. Select Add Category to add a category, enter Category Name, select Category Color, and submit.
  3. Available management actions can vary by category. Use the actions available in that category's row. Before deleting a category, check its tags and associated resources, back up or record the associations according to your approval process, and confirm a recovery plan. Do not proceed if the impact or recovery method is unclear. Afterward, verify the affected resources' tag state.
